- Perches:

This will become a huge problem within your coop because the entire coop will be covered in droppings. To maintain your coops neatly you can also slide some trays underneath the perches. You should remove and clean the trays once they are filled with droppings.

- Ventilation:

It is very important to provide your chickens with plenty of ventilation. Although you might not believe this, chickens sweat. They must have ventilation to help them cool down.

- Nesting Boxes:

You must supply your chickens with nesting boxes, especially if you are keeping them for eggs. The nest should be comfortable and dark. Make every box at least four inches deep.
