Plastic chicken cage is said to have long life. Its permeability is good. It suits under the long distance transport and hot condition. It is much lighter in weight that makes it easy to move around from one place to another. Though much more expensive than wood, it is easier and faster to clean this than in wooden types.

Ladder wooden frame type of cage is a good choice because it is environment friendly. It is also more durable than plastic ones. It is also practical and economical because it allows you to expand and adjust the size of the cage anytime. Aside from easy to build, it has higher quality than the plastic cages. One disadvantage of a wooden chicken cage is that it can be easily invaded by moisture that may cause illness to your chickens.

Stationary coops are permanent structures which allow humans to enter and exit comfortably. If you want your chickens to be confined at all times, this one is recommended.  With this type of coop, you will always know exactly where your chickens are and will avoid the risk of losing them to predators. Flooring on these coops tends to be made of wood and wiring, and is lifted slightly off the ground which makes it easy to clean because it allows the wastes to drop through the wires.
